Twenty-one
residents from Centerville, Circle Pines, and Lexington have
spent the last 10 weeks going through CERT training. The
training culminated this week in a disaster drill. The
team responded to a simulated tornado in Centerville. The
CERT team is designed to respond to major disaster in their
neighborhood, when police and fire unit are overwhelmed.
This is the first CERT team to be trained in the Centennial
Lakes Police district although another team will be trained next
fall.
